Auf selbstgebauten Instrumenten, die aus recyceltem Material, wie Plastikflaschen, Altmetall und anderen Wertstoffen bestehen, verbinden die f\u00fcnf Musiker traditionelle, kenianische Rhythmen mit Elektrobeats und treibenden Grooves. Mit ihrer kreativen Form des Upcyclings setzen die Musiker auch ein Zeichen gegen die enorme Umweltverschmutzung und die Massen an M\u00fcll, die in Kinshasa landen. Ihre Songs, die in Lingala gesungen werden, prangern Missst\u00e4nde in ihrer Heimat an wie den B\u00fcrgerkrieg, Umweltverschmutzung und wirtschaftliche Ausbeutung und sprechen sich f\u00fcr Frieden und Zusammenhalt aus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The band KIN\u2039KONGOLO KINIATA fuses famous Congolese rhythms and electro beats. To capture the sounds of the city and realise them musically, they build their own instruments out of recycled material.
