Vorbilder? The Allman Brothers Band, Joe Cocker\u2019s Mad Dogs &amp; Englishmen, Paul Butterfield Bluesband und nat\u00fcrlich aktuell die Tedeschi Trucks Band oder Marcus King Band. Eine Rhythmusgruppe aus Drums und Bass, zwei Gitarren mit Vintage Tone, Hammondorgel\/Rhodes und Pianosounds, Bl\u00e4sersatz und mehreren Ges\u00e4ngen \u2013 so fett und dabei funky und musikalisch klingen Bluesbands nur selten.<br>Die Songs \u2013 ob selbst geschrieben oder ausgew\u00e4hlte Cover abseits vom Mainstream \u2013 liefern die Basis f\u00fcr ausufernde Improvisationen auf h\u00f6chstem Niveau. Wenn das Solo richtig abgeht, muten die Mills-Tones den H\u00f6rer*innen etwas zu \u2013 n\u00e4mlich musikalische Feinkost ohne zeitliches Korsett!<br>Ob stampfendes Blues-Gumbo mit anr\u00fcchigen Texten, Americana Hymnen \u00fcber staubige Highways oder das besungene Elend der Working Class Heros in den Deltas oder der \u00d6de Birminghams. All das wollen Phil Miller &amp; The Mills-Tones wiederbeleben \u2013 mit einer Auswahl neu interpretierter Klassiker aus Blues, Rock und Soul sowie eigenen St\u00fccken, die denselben blauen Dunst geatmet haben.<br>Eine Auswahl hochkar\u00e4tiger Musiker*innen der G\u00f6ttinger Blues &amp; Jazzszene kommt zusammen, um wieder \u201eechte\u201c Musik zu machen und sich instrumental und gesanglich auszuleben. Mit einer Stammbesetzung und G\u00e4sten an diversen Instrumenten und Gesang wird hier auf hohem Niveau improvisiert und entertained.
